Attending the workshop
The week of class with Sharathji is a unique and valuable opportunity here in Sydney. In attending the workshop we expect participants to be familiar with the ashtanga primary series. And for anyone attending led intermediate to be proficient up to eka pada sirsasana.
Please note that Sharath reserves the right to stop anyone at any given pose throughout the class. If this happens, simply sit on your mat, enjoy the opportunity to watch some of the class, and join in again as Sharathji indicates.
If you are interested to participate in the workshop and are unfamiliar with full primary series we recommend finding a nearby ashtanga teacher who may assist you in preparing for the weeks workshop. Email yogastudio@live.com.au if you would like info on where to find a teacher or guide to practice.
If you are interested to attend led intermediate and are unsure of your current level of practice please reach out, we are happy to help and offer any specific info needed to join the class.
Venue
Classes over the week will be held at Hoops East basketball courts which is located in the Entertainment Quarter. The building we are in has Pridham Hall clearly displayed on the front, and is right at the entrance to the Entertainment Quarter.
Address: 1 Driver Ave, Moore Park
There is easy access parking onsite at the EQ. Wilson parking station is directly opposite Hoops basketball courts. Wilson’s parking is open from 6am and the first 2 hours are free.
Parking is also available in surrounding streets, and nearby Centennial Park for 3 hours (gates open at 6.30am).
Note: for anyone less familiar with the area, Centennial Park is big! The closest gate to the EQ is Robertson Gate. From the other side of the park it could be a good 20-30 minute walk to get to the venue.
